Ukrainian energy innovation and reconstruction at ONS 2024
Ukraine’s central role in Europe’s energy future is a key focus at this year’s ONS. The country is working to rebuild its energy infrastructure amid ongoing geopolitical challenges.
The energy grid is the lifeline of our energy system. We look forward to hearing more about Ukraine’s resilience and their approach to innovation and reconstruction, says Inger Lise Rettedal, Programme Director, ONS.
Hanna Zamazieieva, Head of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine, is one of the speakers coming to the ONS conference. She will focus on Ukraine’s strategic efforts in energy efficiency, alternative fuels, and decarbonisation, and how these measures are crucial for Ukraine’s economy, energy security, and integration into Europe.
Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, CEO of Ukrenergo, will discuss Ukraine’s efforts to rebuild and modernise its energy grid. Following a recent allocation of 7.168 billion UAH from the Ukrainian government, this work is vital for improving the synchronisation of Ukraine’s energy system with the EU.
Ukrainian Scale-Ups Showcase Innovation
A delegation of Ukrainian scale-up companies, supported through a collaboration with Advicera and Lyse, will also be present at ONS 2024. Among these companies are Beholder, Intelliarts, Megaforce, i3 Engineering, OptySun, and CF Filtration.
They will showcase groundbreaking innovations in AI-driven mineral exploration, smart grid technologies, and emission reduction, among others. They will have a dedicated exhibition space in the ONS Scale-ups area, providing them with the opportunity to connect with global industry leaders.
We are thrilled to welcome the Ukrainian companies to ONS 2024, and we are confident that it will offer both the companies and the audience valuable networking and opportunities, adds Rettedal.
